Evol is an ongoing series of material explorations with bio based materials, especially cellulose materials derived from trees and natural rubber latex. The intention of this project is to explore the properties, material nature and tactility of this bio material in an ecologically sustainable spectrum and application. At its current stage, the material and its properties are being expressed and re-imagined as an evolution of a new, tactile and organic plant like species, and as alternative plant based leather product prototypes.
The project is was exhibited as a part of the "From Nature To Future" exhibition at the Finavia Airport, Helsinki, Finland.
The project was later featured at the Helsinki Design Week 2019 - Designs for a Cooler Planet
